So, tonight I fly to Germany in search of Rickshaws in Berlin. I’ve heard many things about how the industry is booming and only just a few steps behind Paris which is racing to match the numbers in Amsterdam.
For now London still leads Europe in rickshaw numbers but we are still trying to catch up to New York. Well, America has always been doing things bigger, NY had just over 1000 pedicabs when they signed up to a license but it is just one city in which the 3500 western pedicabs operate.
Rickshaws are the newcomer to the industry of transport, replacing the horse and cart but overtaking our gentle forerunner to battle for a spot on the streets of big city’s.
The young need work & ridding a rickshaw is work 😉
So Berlin show me what we can learn for London.
